WWE has filed a new trademark for the term “Gauntlet Eliminator”.
The trademark was filed on 3/24 with The United States Patent and Trademark Office. The application was entered into the trademark database on 3/27.
WWE introduced the match type last September during an NXT event. The rules are as follows.
- Two men will start in the ring.
- Every four minutes, another competitor will enter.
- The only way to be eliminated is via pinfall or submission.
- The last man standing is the winner
NXT will be hosting their second Gauntlet Eliminator match to determine the #1 contender for the NXT North American Championship on Night 2 of Takeover Stand& Deliver next month.
