Update On Lawsuit Against WWE, Charlotte Flair and Ric Flair

The WWE has been granted an extension in the lawsuit filed against the company, Charlotte Flair, Ric Flair and Brian Shields. PWInsider first reported the news of the extension, and Heel By Nature has obtained court documents detailing what the plaintiff Riki Paul Johnson is requesting from the WWE.

Riki Paul Johnson is Charlotte Flair’s ex-husband and claims false information was published in the book Second Nature written by her and her father Ric Flair.

Riki claims the book contains “multiple false allegations physical and/or psychological abuse” — which he says he can prove based on dash cam footage, and police reports.

The WWE’s believes the lawsuit to be meritless, and they will vigorously defend themselves.

Johnson is requesting all forms of communication including personal emails from the WWE, Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr, Richard Morgan Fliehr, Brian Shields, St. Martin’s press and Melinda Zannoni, Esq. of Legacy Talent. Ric Flair fired Melina as his talent representative shortly after being released from the hospital.

The WWE has until 1/18/19 to respond to the lawsuit.
