WWE Says Harsh Comments Towards Lio Rush Was A Mistake
WWE ring announcer Greg Hamilton admits he was wrong for a harsh comment towards Lio Rush.
On Tuesday, Rush announced he was retiring from pro wrestling, but will fulfill any commitments he has with New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Greg Hamilton responded to Rush’s announcement with some harsh comments on Instagram, which he quickly deleted.
He has now issued a statement, admitting he was wrong for what we said.
I can admit when I’m wrong….and I was wrong. We don’t have to see eye to eye backstage; but Lionel Green (Lio Rush) is an incredible father as well as a talent. I have all the respect in the world for that. No one made me type this. Just owning my mistakes. He’ll be missed.
