WWE has issued a statement following a controversial shirt the company had for sale on their WWE Shop.
Jordan Myles aired his grievances on Twitter earlier today regarding his t-shirt design on WWE’s merchandise website. The t-shirt in question depicted large lips, with the words “Jordan Myles” stylized as teeth written inside. The design is perceived as too close to “blackface”, which is considered offensive and disrespectful.

WWE states that Myles approved the t-shirt for sale, and the company works collaboratively with all their performers to develop logos and merchandise designs. The company states that Myles requested the logo be re-designed, and none of the original designs were sold.
WWE issued the following statement
Albert Hardie Jr. (aka Jordan Myles) approved this t-shirt for sale. As always, we work collaboratively with all of our performers to develop logos and merchandise designs and get their input and approval before proceeding. This was the same process with Albert, and we responded swiftly once he later requested that the logo/t-shirt be redesigned. No t-shirts were sold.
Jordan Myles has yet to respond to WWE’s statement.
