Fightful Select has released a new report regarding WWE’s relationship with the USA Network, as well as their partners on FOX. Highlights can be found below.

-One issue that WWE faces having two broadcast partners is each company’s streaming service. WWE pay per views take place on the Peacock service, which is advertised on SmackDown on FOX every time a show is coming up. One source tells the publication that FOX could have bid to get the shows on their Tubi platform, but that they are happy to promote the PPVs because “what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.”

-Those behind the scenes at Peacock are very pleased with WWE’s “exceptional” performance on the platform as there are now more eyes on the WWE product than ever before, with Fightful adding that the relationship between WWE and Peacock is strong. However, fans are still not pleased with the less than user-friendly functioning of the app, which has included glitches and issues during live events.

-Apparently Major League Wrestling (MLW) was prepared to announce a deal with FOX’s Tubi, but once WWE was informed that a third-party company would be factored in they did not respond favorably. Since WWE found out the deal between MLW and Tubi has been put into question.

A source close to Fox that Fightful spoke with indicated that WWE did not respond favorably to the deal, which was to be announced imminently after WWE was made aware. As a result, the future of that third party deal was in question.

-Even though there is a coexistence between Peacock, FOX, and USA Peacock did not permit either network to post videos from WWE’s SummerSlam pay per view, which in turn made the social media accounts limited to GIFs.
