The WWE is set to host NXT UK Takeover from the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool. UK on January 12th. The first ever NXT UK Takeover special will air live on the WWE Network, and feature all the stars of the NXT UK brand.
The WWE will then host a special TV taping the next day at the same venue which has a 3000 seat capacity.

The WWE has been working on expanding their global footprint, and the UK is the first of many localized expansions for the NXT brand. The WWE plans on opening a Performance Center in the UK as well in the future.
The WWE hosted an NXT Takeover event in the UK back in 2015, but this is the first live event special for the UK brand.NXT UK airs weekly on the WWE Network, and hosting a UK Takeover special is the biggest test for the brand. I
