Injuries Cause Wrestlemania 37 Changes
WWE will be presenting its two-night Wrestlemania event next month from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL. The event will feature the singles debut of Grammy Award winner Bad Bunny, as he faces The Miz during night one of the show.
Ahead of the match being announced, reports surfaced indicating the match would be a tag team bout with Bad Bunny & Damien Priest vs. John Morrison and The Miz. Those plans were changed due to injuries.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider Elite (subscription required), both Damien Priest and John Morrison are dealing with minor injures, but could still compete at the show if they are cleared in time.
WWE announced the match as a singles contest, but may add Morrison and Priest to the match before or during the show.
“Morrison and Damien Priest are dealing with some minor injuries right now, and rather than announce the tag match, then change it, they announced it as a singles match, and if everybody’s good to go, it will evolve into the tag match, it might even evolve into the tag match that night. They are being very conservative just in case one or both are not 100% cleared to perform, I was told it’s just some minor injury issues. They are being very careful.”
WWE Wrestlemania 37 will air live on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 on PPV, Peacock, and WWE Network (International)
