NXT Breakout Tournament winner Carmelo Hayes has cashed in his opportunity at challenging a NXT Champion.
During this week’s episode of NXT on USA, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott successfully defended the NXT North American Championship against Santos Escobar. He gained the win with the help of Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams.
Following the match, Hayes cashed in his NXT Breakout tournament contract, challenging Scott for the North American Title. Hayes was successful, winning the his first championship since signing with WWE earlier this year.

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott was drafted alongside Hit Row in the 2021 WWE Draft. The faction will be joining Friday Night SmackDown on 10/22.
