Pro-wrestling legend CM Punk issued a short statement on his Twitter earlier today commenting on former NFL punter Pat McAfee’s involvement with NXT, and how everyone on the yellow-and-black brand should feel embarrassed by McAfee’s superior promo skills. The Chicago Savior adds that the roster should use that embarrassment to help “better themselves” for the future.

A lot of it has to do with circumstance, but everyone else on the show(s) should feel embarrassment, and subsequently USE said feeling to better themselves, at the fact that @PatMcAfeeShow is a better promo than everyone on the show(s).

Punk would later be asked by a fan what he believes McAfee’s ceiling to be if he fully committed to pro-wrestling. Here is what Punk had to say on that.

There’s zero reason for him to fully commit to wrestling. He’s already the best thing on this show not named @RheaRipley_WWE.

McAfee, along with the rest of the Kings of NXT, are set to face the Undisputed Era at this weekend’s Takeover WarGames special. McAfee previously competed at Takeover XXX in a losing effort to former NXT champion Adam Cole.

Check out Punk’s tweets below.
