NXT Takeover Set To SummerSlam Weekend
Ahead of this weekend’s NXT Takeover: In Your House event, Triple H spoke to the media about a number of topics, including the next Takeover event SummerSlam weekend.
As first reported by Jon Alba of Living The Gimmick Podcast, WWE is planning to run their next NXT Takeover event on Sunday, August 22nd, the night after SummerSlam.
Fightful Select (subscription required) added to the report, indicating current plans have the show taking place in Orlando at WWE’s Capitol Wrestling Center. The reason behind keeping the show at the venue is that it “gives the company flexibility if they opt to move it outside of there”.
Triple H was asked about the event during the media call, stating it’s a “work in progress”, but didn’t confirm the location or the date.
