Big Match Expected To Take Place At 2021 SummerSlam

A first-time-ever match could be taking place at this year’s SummerSlam.

WWE is gearing up for their return to live touring, and with SummerSlam being the first major show back with fans, the company is wanting as many big names at the event as possible, especially with it taking place from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, which has a capacity of 72,000.

Several returns have been rumored for the event, including Becky Lynch, Brock Lesnar, and John Cena, however, we may also be in store for a match many thought would never be able to happen.

According to WrestleVotes, WWE is planning a match between Seth Rollins and Edge for the event, which adds to the already stacked SmackDown side of things, with John Cena vs Roman Reigns being discussed for the event.

There was a segment on Raw a few years back, which saw Rollins threaten to attack Edge if John Cena didn’t reinstate The Authority, and whilst the match didn’t seem possible then, many fans have called for it to happen now Edge is cleared to compete.

SummerSlam will be held live from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, August 21st, streaming live on the Peacock and the WWE Network.
