NXT House Shows Returning

WWE has plans for NXT to begin touring next month.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has advised NXT talent they will begin running live events in Flordia beginning in July.

The shows will be at small venues in Central and Northern Flordia, often referred to as the “Coconut Loop”. These events generally draw 200-400 fans, and historically were used to debut new developmental talent before appearing on television.

The report notes it will be hard to enforce a mandatory mask policy in some markets, and will ask talent to get vaccinated.

The belief is that talent will be asked to get vaccinated as something mandatory because they are going to be running in some rural heavy right-wing markets and the feeling is with that fan base they wouldn’t be able to enforce a mask ordinance

NXT’s last house show in Florida was on March 7 in Orlando.

The main roster will return to the road next month with a 25-city tour beginning July 16 with Friday Night SmackDown.
