Brock Lesnar Is a Free Agent

One of WWE’s biggest stars is current not signed to a deal, and is currently a free agent.

According to PWInsider, Brock Lesnar’s contract with WWE has expired, without the two sides locking in a new deal. Both sides have been in discussions, but have “hit an impasse” and have paused negotiations.

“Former WWE and UFC Champion Brock Lesnar is currently a free agent as his most recent deal with World Wrestling Entertainment has expired without the two sides locking in a new contract, PWInsider.com has confirmed.”

This news comes after WWE scrubbed Lesnar’s merchandise from the WWE Shop, but has yet to remove his bio from WWE.com.

Due to him having no contract, Lesnar is able to have discussions with other wrestling promotions, or combat sports companies. It’s unknown if he has had talks with any other promotions.

In the past, Lesnar’s contract has lapsed, but both sides have eventually entered in new agreements. This is Lesnar’s longest hiatus during the negotiating process.

Wrestlevotes on Twitter added to the story, indicating the belief is once Brock Lesnar is willing to return to work, he will let Vince McMahon know. If WWE needs Brock they will likely offer him a deal “he can’t refuse”

The reports of Brock Lesnar being a free agent are true. In talking with a source, the belief is that once Lesnar is ready to work again, he’ll let McMahon know. Or vice versa, if WWE needs Brock, they will present a deal he can’t refuse. Currently, it’s nothing more than that.

Brock Lesnar last worked WWE Wrestlemania 36, losing to Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship.
