Gran Metalik has reportedly requested his release from WWE.

According to Mas Lucha, the Lucha House Party member has requested his release from the company “due to lack of opportunities”. The report notes his contract is up in 2023.

“For several months, Gran Metalik, a member of Lucha House Party, had shown his dissatisfaction with the way his career has been handled so far, so he seriously considered asking for the release of his contract, which runs until 2023.”

Metalik made his WWE debut in 2016, making it to the finals of the inaugural Cruiserweight Classic tournament. In recent years, Metalik was grouped with Lince Dorado and Kaliso, collectively known as Lucha House Party.

His most recent matches were on the 9/6 episode of RAW and WWE Main Event tapings.

It’s unknown if WWE plans to grant him his release.
