Vince McMahon Unhappy With Initial RAW Plans
According to PWInsider, yesterday was one of the ‘longest days’ in a while for the WWE creative team. It was noted that Vince McMahon was ‘extremely unhappy’ with the initial plans for Raw, which resulted in him ripping up several scripts.
McMahon then began requesting new ideas for the show, before rejecting every pitch and decreeing the new plans for the show. Until 6pm EST, two hours before the show went on air, there was no direction or any firm plans for the episode.
It was further noted that one person backstage described the situation as ‘the loudest and angriest’ they had seen McMahon on a show day.
This could explain why two matches which had been advertised for the show all week were cancelled. This being The Miz vs. John Morrison and Bobby Lashley vs. Sheamus. Other than The Miz, the other three men appeared on the show in different matches.
