WWE has added a six woman tag team match to tonight’s Raw in Brooklyn.
According to Fightful, WWE announced that Money in the Bank briefcase holder Tiffany Stratton will team with IYO SKY and WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green to take on Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez of The Judgment Day.
The match was announced on WWE’s social media platforms on November 2, hours before the show. Raw airs live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, with a special start time of 6 p.m. ET on Netflix. WWE is also taping Friday’s SmackDown from the same building tonight, ahead of Crown Jewel this weekend.
The addition gives tonight’s show another title heavy bout. Green holds the WWE Women’s Championship, Morgan holds the Women’s World Championship, and Rodriguez holds the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Stratton also holds the Money in the Bank briefcase, which means a title shot could come at any time.
The rest of tonight’s card was already stacked. Chad Gable defends the Intercontinental Championship against Ethan Page. Penta, Je’Von Evans and Dragon Lee face The Vision in six man tag team action. Solo Sikoa faces Royce Keys as the rivalry between The Bloodline and The 946 continues.
John Cena returns tonight for a special announcement, and Roman Reigns appears ahead of his Crown Jewel Championship match against Sami Zayn on Saturday, November 7 in Riyadh. Cena is expected to announce details for The John Cena Classic, which is set for December.
The six woman match fits that go home show pattern. WWE has a habit of adding one more notable bout on the day of a big Raw, and this one brings together champions from across the women’s division in one match.
There is no stipulation attached to the bout beyond the standard tag team rules. It is a straight six woman tag team match, with no title on the line as a team prize. The individual titles held by the women involved are what give it weight.
Tonight’s Raw is the final Raw before Crown Jewel, which makes every added match part of the last push toward Saturday.
