Sonya Deville Stalker Case Update

Daria Berenato (Sonya Deville) was back in virtual court Thursday morning along with her accused stalker, Philip Thomas.

Hillsborough County Judge Jessica G. Costello extended a temporary injunction for protection with a new hearing scheduled for Thursday, May 6 at 9 a.m. according to court documents obtained by HeelByNature.com.

The order has been extended four times since three felony charges were levied against Thomas for his hostage attempt inside the house of the WWE star last August. The order is expected to stay in place until the criminal case resolved.

Philip A. Thomas Charges

  • AGGRAVATED STALKING – THIRD DEGREE FELONY
  • ARMED BURGLARY OF A DWELLING – FELONY PUNISHABLE BY LIFE
  • ARMED KIDNAPPING RANSOM OR REWARD OR HOSTAGE – FELONY LIFE
  • CRIMINAL MISCHIEF LESS THAN $200 – SECOND DEGREE MISDEMEANOR

Prosecutors say Thomas has been harassing Berenato for years, sending her countless messages to her and friends on social media.

Following his arrest, Thomas told investigators he planned to abduct Berenato, preventing her from working scheduled wrestling matches.

The courts have scheduled several disposition hearings over the next few months, including one with Daria Berenato (Sonya Deville) and Amanda Saccomanno (Mandy Rose) on 2/3. One on 2/18 and 3/17 with officers from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Philip Thomas is back in court on 2/25 for his criminal charges. He is currently in custody at the Hillsborough County Jail.
