WWE President Nick Khan reportedly held talks with former WWE writer Vince Russo.

According to Fightful Select, the nature and seriousness of the conversations remain unclear. Sources at WWE headquarters told Fightful Select they heard Khan had conversations with Russo, but they were not sure how serious those conversations were. Sources familiar with the situation also indicated that Russo may have visited WWE headquarters at one point, or that a visit was being considered.

Conrad Thompson published an article stating that Russo had talks with WWE this year. That article is what prompted the latest round of reporting, but neither Russo nor any WWE representative has publicly commented on the situation.

The timing lines up with a recent change for Russo. Last month, Russo announced his departure from Juggalo Championship Wrestling, where he had been involved in on screen and creative decisions for nearly a year.

Russo is best known for his work in WWE in the 1990s, when he was part of the creative team during the Attitude Era. He also had a brief return to WWE in the early 2000s, and he later worked for WCW and TNA Wrestling.

Russo has remained a regular voice in wrestling media since leaving full time creative roles, often speaking about the business on podcasts and online shows. That makes any talk with WWE notable, even without a confirmed role attached to it.

What is confirmed is that Fightful Select reports conversations took place, and that sources close to the situation are unsure how serious they were. What is not confirmed is whether Russo visited WWE headquarters, whether any job or role was discussed, or whether Russo will return to WWE in any capacity.
