NXT Tag Team Champion Nash Carter has been released by WWE. Earlier this week, IMPACT wrestler Kimber Lee took to Twitter to accuse her husband, NXT’s Nash Carter, of domestic abuse, accompanying her Tweet with photos of a face injury, which she claimed was intentionally caused by Carter.

Nash Carter’s tag-team partner Wes Lee’s wife, Erica Marie, then responded to the allegations, claiming that Nash Carter had been living with her and her husband for months, and that it was Kimber Lee who tried to go after Carter.

Wes Lee’s wife also commented on how Nash Carter had handed in divorce papers on Monday, and that Lee took to Twitter because she’s angry that he no longer wants to be with her.

Kimber Lee then posted an old old photo of Carter, in which he was doing an impression of Adolf Hitler, adding that he and his family have made ‘countless’ homophobic comments.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful was the first to report that Carter has been released by WWE, with several other sources confirming the news shortly after. It’s currently unknown whether Carter’s release was due to the allegations or the photo of his Hitler impression.

Nash Carter and Wes Lee won the NXT Tag Team Championships at last Saturday’s NXT Stand And Deliver Premium-Live-Event.

During this week’s NXT, it was announced that they would be making their first title defense against Grayson Waller and Sanga on next week’s episode. NXT have not yet provided an update on the match.
