Who Will Be Special Guest Referee Tonight At WWE Stomping Grounds?
WWE Stomping Grounds will be held tonight at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA.
Baron Corbin has yet to reveal who he will pick to be the Special Guest Referee for his match against Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship.
Plenty of rumors have circulated online on who will be donning stripes tonight, let’s take a look at some of the options.
6 Potential Special Guest Referees For Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin
Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar has yet to cash-in his Money In The Bank contract, and him being the special guest referee could allow him to have a cash-in following the match. Paul Heyman reminded Seth Rollins this past week on RAW that Lesnar is still lurking.
Lacey Evans
Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins real life relationship is now being acknowledged on-screen, and Lacey Evans involvement could add an extra twist to her feud with ‘The Man’. Baron Corbin adding her a special guest referee could create an interesting dynamic in the match.
Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle had his last WWE match against Baron Corbin at Wrestlemania 35, and adding him to the match could bring him back in the mix as an on-screen character.
Sami Zayn
WWE is known for having underwhelming surprises, and Sami Zayn being added to the match as the special guest referee could reiterate that fact. Zayn was the special guest referee for Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens this past week on RAW.
Elias
Elias was originally named the special guest referee for the match, but was attacked by Seth Rollins this past week on RAW. Corbin may double down on his decision, and have Elias don stripes tonight.
Bray Wyatt
Bray Wyatt has yet to make a WWE in-ring appearance following his repackaging as host of the “Firefly Fun House”. This could bring Wyatt back in the main event scene, and quite possibly a program with Seth Rollins in the future.
