The official WWE Public Relations Twitter has announced online that WWE, and their partner Americares have won the Cynopsis Media Award for their COVID-19 awareness campaign. The account writes, “Together, WWE & AmeriCares helped to educate & provide resources for COVID-19 response & relief efforts.” The company had drastically improved their safety protocols and awareness following a number of virus outbreaks at their WWE Performance Center.
This wasn’t the only award won by WWE. The After The Bell podcast, which is hosted by Friday Night SmackDown commentator Corey Graves, was named Best Podcast/Audio series, with the New Day’s Feel The Power program coming in as a runner-up.
Speaking of the New Day…former WWE champion Kofi Kingston’s Journey To Becoming UpUpDownDown Champion was awarded the Best Short Form Comedic video.
Finally WWE’s weekly online episodic The Bump tied with the Olympic Channel’s Level Up as the Best Sports Web Series. Bump host Ryan Papolla was also a guest presenter for the awards ceremony.
