Roman Reigns Asks Fans To Remain Patient On New Theme Music
Back in September, Roman Reigns revealed that he would be getting a new entrance theme and ring attire, the latter of which we have already seen, however Reigns’ new music hasn’t yet debuted.
Since is return in August, Reigns has been using his old Shield theme song during his entrances, despite getting a new attire and character. However Reigns’ has recently provided an update on his new music.
During an interview with Bleacher Report, the current Universal Champion revealed that he and WWE are still working on his new theme song, as he wants to make sure it’s perfect for his new character.
“We’re working on it,” he said. “It’s not easy because I’m not going to… With this character, it has to be the right vibe. We can’t just hire a rapper and check out this guitar riff. It can’t be some rock music. The Shield music, I wasn’t even really into it back in the day; but over the years, it just started working. You get so used to it that I just time my pace to it. But yeah, it takes some time and it has to be right.
“In order to move away from something you’ve had for so long and is so recognizable like the music that I have now, it’s got to be perfect. It’s taking some time, but we’re definitely working on it, so please be patient.”
Reigns will be defending his Universal Championship against Kevin Owens at January 31st’s Royal Rumble. This will be the second time the two have faced each other in a singles match at Royal Rumble, as they battled each other in a No Disqualification match at the 2017 event.
