WWE television could be in jeopardy in the coming weeks following a statewide stay-at-home order from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
The order, which goes into effect at 12:01 a.m ET on Friday, April 3 will last 30-days, and halt all non-essential actives.
“I’m issuing an executive order directing all Floridians to limit movements and personal interactions outside the home to only those necessary and essential activities,” Gov. Ron DeSantis stated. “We’re going to be in this for another 30 days and that’s just the reality that we find ourselves in.
WWE has pre-recorded all television at their Performance Center in Orlando, FL up to the RAW after Wrestlemania 36 on April 6.
The company has canceled all arena tapings for the month of April, and only lists events in May as of this writing. Those are all up in the air due to the current health crisis.
WWE will either have to move to another state to continue tapings, or cease any new production until the order is lifted.
Wrestlevotes on Twitter indicated that if WWE plans to take a break after Wrestlemania, they would not air some footage that has already been shot, presumably to not advance certain storylines.
Rumors around the PC last week were that if the state of FL issued a Stay Home order, which happened today, WWE would reconsider taking a break post Mania. The RAW after is shot. I’ve been told if they are pausing for a while, some footage shot won’t be aired. TBD at this point.

All Elite Wrestling has already moved their production outside of Florida, recording television at an undisclosed location in the Southwest.
WWE does have the option to record content at their headquarters in Stamford, CT.
The company has a warehouse in the back of the building which used to house ‘The Funkin’ Dojo’, where Dory Funk Jr. trained new WWE signees.
We have reached out to WWE for a statement, if any is provided, an update will be given.
