Earlier today PWInsider revealed a free version of the WWE Network is scheduled to launch next week.

WWE decided to quietly launch the free tier this afternoon, following beta testing from a controlled group of users.

The free tier is now available at watch.wwe.com, and no account is required to begin viewing free content. Right now the free content includes WWE Top 10, WWE and NXT Highlights, WWE Full Matches, and WWE Network Pick Of The Week. The content is similar to what is already offered on Youtube.

Content that requires paid subscription now has a lock icon on the bottom left corner of the thumbnail.

According to PWInsider, WWE plans on adding additional content over time, and the unannounced free tier is scheduled to have an official launch.

WWE had plans to launch an additional premium tier of the WWE Network in early 2020 for $14.99 a month.

WWE Co-President George Barrios spoke with The Verge in September,  and outlined updated subscription plans the company plans to roll out. The premium version is scheduled to have more content, as well as integrate non-video services

Premium: “We think there’s also an opportunity to super-serve our most passionate Network subscribers with a premium tier that’ll bring together more content for them, more features for them, and also integrating some of our other non-video services like our commerce — potentially integrating something like free shipping, bringing together our digital ticketing efforts in there. It becomes the one place to experience everything WWE.” Barrios didn’t disclose how much WWE might charge for the premium tier.
