News surfaced recently that WWE may be bringing back their popular themed events, and for the first time would be introducing a Queen of the Ring tournament for the competitive women’s division.

According to Mat Men’s Andrew Zarian the King Of The Ring Men’s and Women’s tournaments will be set for this upcoming October. The last winner was Baron Corbin, who defeated Chad Gable in the final round to earn the King Corbin gimmick.

The report also mentions that the King of the Ring finals and the Queen of the Ring finals will be taking place in Saudi Arabia, although it is not known if the ongoing COVID-19 issues will delay those plans. The last time WWE was there was for their Super Showdown pay per view back in February of 2020, which saw Goldberg defeat the Fiend to begin his second run as Universal champion.
