WWE has issued a statement following reports that fans were in attendance during yesterday’s television tapings in Orlando, FL.
According to a statement from the company, only friends and family were permitted at the closed set.
The company also addressed reports that masks were not permitted from those in the audience.
The following statement was issued to The Wrestling Observer.
Fans have not been in attendance at WWE events since March 13. Yesterday, a select number of friends and family were permitted to attend WWE’s TV production.
These individuals were required to participate in medical screenings prior to entering the closed set at our training facility, and were kept apart from in-ring performers and production personnel. Attendance was below 20% capacity and social distancing guidelines were adhered to with at least six feet between parties, thus face masks were not required.
John Alba of Spectrum Sports in Orlando provided more insight from those in attendance.
Many are asking about the substance of the waivers. I have heard differing answers on this, so I cannot comment on that. #WWE

One individual told me the waiver included a liability clause in the event they contracted COVID-19 at the taping they wouldn't hold #WWE liable, while others could not confirm that. However, @RajGiri_303 reported last night the waivers did say that.
