WWE has sent a company wide e-mail to all employees with updated information regarding the coronavirus outbreak.

According to PWInsider, WWE sent out a company wide e-mail Sunday advising employees they should work from home, if they have the capability to do so. This new policy will be mandated for the foreseeable future.

Last week, several different divisions began testing work-from-home procedures.

As of today, all employees working at WWE headquarters have been advised of this new mandate.

Every Canceled Pro-Wrestling Event Due To Coronavirus

Center Of Disease Control Urges Nationwide Halt Of Gatherings Over 50 People

Many pro-wrestling events have been canceled, or postponed over the next several weeks from various promotions worldwide.

In a statement released Sunday, the CDC is urging all gatherings of 50 or more people be halted for the next eight weeks.

The agency indicates all conferences, concerts, parades, sporting events, festivals, and other types of assemblies should not have more than 50 people present.

“Large events and mass gatherings can contribute to the spread of COVID-19 in the United States via travelers who attend these events and introduce the virus to new communities.”

Based on CDC recommendations, organizers should “cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States”.

This new recommendation puts onus on organizations to make the call to halt large gatherings.

WWE has yet to announce the status of Wrestlemania 36 in Tampa on 4/5.

The City Of Tampa did issue a statement late last week, indicating they hope Vince McMahon and WWE will make a decision on the status of Wrestlemania.

Hillsborough Commissioner Les Miller did state the city will “probably have to pull the plug” on the event in the next week if “we’re still int he situation we’re in”.
