WWE has settled a lawsuit with a man claiming he was denied equal access to the WWEShop website.

On 10/16, Josue Romero filed a lawsuit against WWE with the United States District Court Southern District Of New York.

According to court documents obtained by HeelByNature.com, WWE settled the lawsuit out of court for an undisclosed amount of money.  Romero’s counsel issued a settlement notice on 12/7, advising the court to dismiss the case.

According to the complaint, “Romero is a visually-impaired and legally blind person who requires screen-reading software to read website content using his computer”.

Romero’s lawsuit alleged shop.wwe.com “is not equally accessible to blind and visually-impaired consumers”. The lawsuit says this violates the ADA(Americans With Disabilities Act).

He was asking WWE to change its policies to ensure the website is accessible to blind and visually-impaired consumers.  He was seeking costs and expenses for attorney fees, and demanded a trial by jury.
