SEGMENT: The show kicks off with The New Day celebrating the New Year. They all announce that they will officially enter the 2019 Royal Rumble match.
MATCH 1: Samoa Joe d. Jeff Hardy – Joe wins via Coquina Clutch. Samoa Joe has earned a spot in a Fatal Five Way Main Event match between himself, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Mustafa Ali, and Rey Mysterio. The winner will face Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble.

SEGMENT: Rusev and Lana have a celebration after winning the U.S Championship last week. The celebration is cut short by Shinsuke Nakamura who attacks Rusev.
MATCH 2: Sonya Deville d. Naomi. Deville won after Many Rose distracted Naoimi with a revealing photo she sent Jimmy Uso earlier. The photo of Rose in a towel was shown on the big screen.

SEGMENT: John Cena comes out an issues an open challenge. Cena is interrupted by Becky Lynch who says she is now ‘The Man’ of Smackdown. They are then interrupted by Zelina Vega and Andrade “Cien” Almas. They setup a match between all four parties.

SEGMENT: Triple H is speaking with members of the Women’s Division stating that a number one contender for Asuka’s title will be happening at a later date.
