WWE Has Two Opponents In Mind To Challenge Roman Reigns At Wrestlemania 37

Late last year a report emerged revealing multiple matches that were being considered for WrestleMania. The RAW side of things included a triple threat match between Keith Lee, Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre whereas the likes of Goldberg and Goldberg were being considered as possible opponents for Roman Reigns. It now seems as if WWE have whittled it down to two possible challengers for Reigns’ Universal Championship

According to Dave Meltzer, in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, despite WWE not yet locking in any world title matches for WrestleMania, two wrestlers are being discussed as possible opponents for Reigns at the show of shows.

The first of which is Daniel Bryan, who has feuded with Jey Uso over recent weeks. The second opponent wasn’t named, however it was noted that its not Shinsuke Nakamura, who recently brought back his new theme song and seemingly turned face.

Historically, top matches are usually locked in months prior to Wrestlemania, but this year that is not the case.

“The reason there has been no television direction for the main matches at Mania and you don’t hear anything about them is because there isn’t any.” Melzer stated. “The only thing we know is the top Raw championship matches are not locked in.”

It was also noted that WWE’s plans for WrestleMania change daily, so it’s likely that Reigns opponent could change frequently in the road to WrestleMania.
