Sony Sports Network India has announced a WWE special, airing later this month.
“WWE Superstar Spectacle” will air on 1/26, Indian Republic Day, a national holiday for the country.
Promotional advertising for the special include Jinder Mahal, The Bollywood Boyz, Kavitia Devi, and Indus Sher.

Last month, Indian talent were involved in a photoshoot to take updated photos used for promotional material. POST Wrestling noted, WWE currently has a taping date listed for 1/22 for ‘India Special’ on their internal calendar.
Initial plans suggested an eight-man single-elimination tournament was going to be held to launch the brand, but that has yet to be confirmed.
Last year, Triple H spoke on plans to expand WWE’s presence in India. He says WWE will prioritize global markets over the next the next two years with plans to build a Performance Center in India.

WWE ‘Superstar Spectacle’ will air on 1/26 on SPN in India. No official announcement has been made if the special will air on the WWE Network as of this writing.
