According to Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer and later confirmed by Fightful, WWE will not be holding a pay per view in the month of December this year.
Reports are that there was a plan at some point to hold a PPV show (most likely TLC) on December 19th, but that is no longer happening. The date even got shifted at one point to December 12th. However, WWE has internally known for over a month that no show would be happening.
Sources tell the publications that the reason behind this is because WWE didn’t want to hold a show in such close proximity to the January 1st WWE Day 1 pay per view, which is being spearheaded by Nick Khan, and takes place from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
WWE will also be running their annual Royal Rumble pay per view on January 29th from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis.
