Ethel Johnson’s Family Speaks Out After WWE Makes Hall Of Fame Error
WWE inducted 10 wrestling legends into the legacy wing of the WWE Hall of Fame during the 2020 and 201 induction ceremonies.
One of the inductions was Ethel Johnson, who began her career as a teenager in the 50s. She won the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Championship with June Byers
Dave Meltzer noted during Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE used video footage of another wrestler, Sandy Parker, during her Hall of Fame package.
Members of Ethel’s family have taken to Twitter, urging WWE to reach out to correct the error.
Ethel’s niece wrote, “Y’all need to fix this because if you’re going to use my aunt Ethel in the hall of fame at least reach out to the family! And the video you guys used isn’t her!”
