WWE reportedly wanted to have Megan Thee Stallion at SummerSlam.

WWE haven’t had much success with celebrities for this year’s SummerSlam. Cardi B was one of the first celebrities rumoured for the event, with WWE using her theme ‘Up’ for SummerSlam. Cardi B recently announced her pregnancy, which put an end to any plans which may have been in place.

Earlier, PWInsider reported that WWE also wanted to have Mike Tyson voice the SummerSlam opening, however a deal could not be reached between the two sides and the plans were once again scrapped.

According to Fightful Select, WWE tried to get another musician for SummerSlam in Megan Thee Stallion, who was planned for a spot with Bianca Belair. Sources within the company thought this was a ‘done deal’, however last weekend they were informed that it wouldn’t be happening, with no reason being given.

Bianca Belair recently met up with Megan Thee Stallion at the Lollapalooza music festival, with Belair revealing that she’d like to form a tag team with her during an interview with Forbes.

“I would love to work with Megan Thee Stallion, City Girls, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj—I’m in love with Nicki Minaj—a few of these people are actually going to be there, so maybe I can go talk to them and see if we can have a tag team or partnership in the future.”
