Lio Rush May Not Return To Main Roster
Lio Rush has been rubbing a lot of people the wrong way backstage in WWE.
Earlier this week, Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter revealed Rush has had heat backstage due to his confidence perceived as cockiness, as well as stating he should be a top guy on RAW. He’s reportedly not shy about letting people know.
Fightful Select provided an update today stating a WWE source reveals Rush would be lucky if he returned to the main roster any time soon, if ever.
The report also states the roster wanted him out of the locker room. Some of this frustration stems from Rush wanting his wife present a lot of the time. Although there is no heat on his wife, there were two instances where having his wife backstage caused heat on Rush.
Finn Balor reportedly tried to speak to Rush about having his wife sit in on rehearsals, stating Vince McMahon wouldn’t be take too kindly to her being there. Rush apparently responded unfavorably to Balor’s advice.
Lio Rush has changed his Twitter bio, which now includes an e-mail address for bookings. He also has posted several video clips of him competing on the independent circuit.
It’s unknown whether the company plans on releasing him, or if they have other plans for him going forward.
