Tiffany Stratton tried to cash in her Money in the Bank contract on Liv Morgan on SmackDown, but the attempt failed before the match could even start. Stratton still holds the briefcase.

The attempted cash-in came after Chelsea Green retained the WWE Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez on the October 23 episode of SmackDown. Green beat Perez with the Unpretty Her after a chaotic finish that saw Raquel Rodriguez interfere and IYO SKY come out to even the odds.

After the match, The Judgment Day attacked Green. SKY tried to make the save, but the numbers were too much until Stratton ran down with her briefcase. Stratton, Green, and SKY cleared the ring of Perez, Rodriguez, and Morgan.

Stratton then handed her briefcase to the referee to cash in on Morgan, the Women’s World Champion. Before the referee could ring the bell, Rodriguez pulled Morgan out of the ring to safety.

Because the match never officially started, Stratton did not lose her contract. She can still cash in at any time, and she made that clear backstage after the show. Stratton said she cannot wait to see the look on Morgan’s face when she cashes in and becomes women’s world champion.

Green’s win over Perez was her latest defense since winning the vacant title at SummerSlam. Morgan, meanwhile, escaped SmackDown still holding the Women’s World Championship, but with Stratton now openly targeting her.

What is confirmed is that the cash-in never became official. What is not confirmed is when Stratton will try again, or whether she will wait for a bigger stage to do it.
