Kevin Owens will face CM Punk on the November 6 episode of SmackDown.
According to Fightful, the match was announced on the October 23 episode of SmackDown, during a sit-down interview with Punk and Owens moderated by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. Aldis announced that Owens will face Punk on the November 6 show, the go-home episode before Crown Jewel.
The November 6 show will be taped a few days earlier on Monday as part of a double taping in Brooklyn, New York. It will air as the final SmackDown before Crown Jewel on November 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Owens and Punk have met before. They previously faced each other on the August 21 episode of SmackDown, where Punk defended the WWE Championship against Owens. That history is part of why the sit-down segment turned heated before Aldis made the match official.
WWE has not announced a stipulation for the November 6 match. As announced, it is a singles match, with no title or stipulation attached to it yet.
What is confirmed is the match, the date, and the Brooklyn taping. What is not confirmed is whether the result will change anything on the Crown Jewel card, or whether this settles the issues between the two men.
