Andrade El Idolo will defend the AEW National Championship against Tommaso Ciampa on the November 7 edition of Collision.
The match was announced on AEW Fright Night Collision on October 31. It will take place on Chris Jericho’s Rock and Wrestling Rager, with Collision airing from the Jericho Cruise.
Ciampa earned the rematch with his win on Fright Night Collision, where he beat Matt Sydal. Ciampa, dressed as the God of War, finished Sydal with two back-to-back running knees. After the match, AEW announced that Ciampa will fight Andrade in a rematch for the National Title next Saturday.
Andrade and Ciampa previously faced each other at AEW WrestleDream, where Andrade retained his title. After that win, Ciampa jumped Andrade, setting up the rematch.
Ciampa has been building toward another title shot since WrestleDream, and his win over Sydal was presented as a statement ahead of the November 7 match. Andrade has held the National Championship through a series of defenses, and this will be his next defense.
What is confirmed is the title match, the November 7 date, and the Jericho Cruise setting. What is not confirmed is the rest of the November 7 Collision card, or whether the match will have any stipulation beyond a standard title match.
