Bryan Danielson, formerly known as Daniel Bryan in WWE, made his debut at AEW’s Pay Per View All Out on September 5th, 2021. Danielson opened up about a few things in the AEW Media Scrum after the show.

Danielson speaks on how WWE offered to let him “do some other stuff'” which many took to mean wrestle in organizations that are not WWE. He then brought up Vince McMahon & said he loves him but the Chairman of WWE is, Danielson feels, too “overprotective,” of him. Danielson stated that wanting to push his limits is what brought him to AEW.

Danielson was also asked if he thought his wife, Brie Bella, who is a former Divas Champion in WWE, would follow him to AEW. He answered by saying that he was not sure if she would come there.

Along with testing his limits, Danielson also stated he is not at AEW to see how good he is, because he knows how good he is. Part of the reason he is there is to see how good all the other guys are in the locker room. Danielson mentioned a few names such as Kenny Omega, Jungle Boy & Darby Allin and said that he’d like to face them to see if they are really as good as they seem to be.

Bryan went on to say that this was not an easy decision for him to make. He stated that he feels his life became rather “tame,” and wanted to do something different and “wild.” Bryan ended off by saying Punk wants to help the talent, but he wants to kick peoples heads off.
