Adam Cole showed up on AEW’s biggest Pay Per View of the year, All Out last night after the main event and aligned himself with the Super Elite. He had been rumored to join the company for weeks following his contract running out in NXT.

Cole mentioned while talking on the All Out Media Scrum (h/t Wrestletalk) that he didn’t realize his contract was up so soon. He said that he knew it was public knowledge that he had signed an extension. The former Triple Crown Champion went on to say the rivalry and matches with former Undisputed Era stable mate, Kyle O’Reilly were very important to him because he considers O’Reilly one of his best friends.

The Panama City Playboy also mentioned how he had been interesting in coming to AEW for quite some time, with the fans & the crew playing a large part in that. He kept speaking about how much he loves that the people around him in AEW love professional wrestling like he does.

Cole stated that he “had an excellent four-year experience” with NXT & WWE. He talked about his meeting with Vince McMahon and only had positive things to say. “We had a really, really good conversation about a lot of different things.” This was one of the many statements Cole made about his meeting.

The former NXT Superstar talked about Tony Khan and said, “being around Tony is so cool.” He goes on to say that he feels comfortable talking to Khan about anything and he loves that he can feel Khan’s appreciation for pro wrestling.
