Former NWA women’s champion Thunder Rosa has become a hot commodity in the pro-wrestling industry, regularly appearing for All Elite Wrestling’s weekly episodic Dynamite, as well as a return to the NWA for their Back For The Attack pay per view at the end of the month. However, a new report indicates that Rosa still has interest in pursuing a career in MMA.
According to Fightful Select, Rosa is still under contract with Combate Americas, the Latino-based fight promotion run by UFC co-found Campbell McLaren. The Unstoppable One last fought for Comabte back in November of 2019, where she lost to Nadine Mandiau by decision but impressed judges and viewers at home considering it was her first professional bout.
The publication states that Rosa’s deal with Combate runs through September, where expects to compete at least once more before that time. She has full support from the NWA, but the report notes that she has not had any conversations with the AEW higher-ups regarding her fight career. She is set to main event this week’s AEW St. Patrick’s Day television special against Britt Baker in an unsanctioned anything goes matchup.
