Kenny Omega Tops 2021 PWI 500 List, Top 10 Revealed

Kenny Omega Ranked #1 In 2021 PWI 500

Pro Wrestling Illustrated is set to release their annual PWI 500 list, celebrating 31 years ranking wrestling talent from all over the globe.

This year’s edition features Kenny Omega on the cover, as he has ranked #1 in the 2021 PWI 500. This is the second year in a row an AEW performer has ranked #1 for the publication. Last year’s top ranking was given to Jon Moxley.

According to Pro Wrestling Illustrated, the following criteria is used to pick the rankings on the list.

The evaluation period for this year’s PWI 500 is July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021. The criteria for ranking are as follows:

  • In-Ring Achievement (win-loss records, championships, tournaments won)
  • Influence (visibility and prestige within a promotion and/or the industry)
  • Technical Ability (quality of maneuvers, matches, and ring psychology)
  • Competition (success against the most varied and high quality opponents)
  • Activity (minimum 10 matches total or six matches in separate months)
