Daniel Bryan Reportedly Inks Deal With AEW

All Elite Wrestling may have secured another top star in professional wrestling.

According to a report from Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) has signed a deal with All Elite Wrestling. His source states Bryan “is ‘locked-in’ and has 100% already signed a contract with AEW.”

The deal reportedly has Bryan working fewer dates for comparable money he was making in WWE. He also wanted the ability to work in Japan, and have creative input on his in-ring character

Tentative plans have Bryan making his debut for AEW after their All Out pay-per-view, likely during the September 22 New York City event at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Earlier this week, PWInsider reported there is no internal discussion of Bryan returning to WWE, and he is no longer listed on the internal company roster. WWE has also not listed Bryan on 2021-2022 licensing and merchandising documents.

Daniel Bryan made his last WWE appearance this past April against Roman Reigns. His contract with the company expired shortly after that match. He has yet to make any public statements.

Earlier today, Fightful reported the potential in-ring return of CM Punk, with sources believing he will “land in AEW”.

As more details are known, an update will be provided.
