WWE has begun construction of their ThunderDome inside Orlando’s Amway Center.
Monday morning, WWE officially announced their residency at the venue, which will run through October 30, 2020.
Crews arrived this past Friday, and have been working on the setup over the weekend. Several local employees have begun sharing photos on social media, showing installation of equipment, including massive LED panels.
WWE Executive Vice President of Television Production Kevin Dunn spoke to Sports Illustrated Monday, providing additional details on what to expect with ThunderDome. The company will use pyrotechnics, smoke, lasers, as well as 1000 LED panels to broadcast virtual fans.

The first episode of WWE programming to be held inside ThunderDome will be this Friday’s edition of SmackDown. WWE will host all television and pay-per-view events from the venue for the foreseeable future.
