An update has been provided on Harry Smith’s status in WWE.
Fans were surprised when Harry Smith returned to WWE several weeks ago, teaming with Austin Theory to take on Xyon Quinn and Odyssey Jones on a dark match prior to SmackDown.
Per PWInsider, Harry Smith has signed with WWE, however hadn’t yet been assigned a brand to wrestle on.
Smith’s last run with WWE began in 2006, where he most notably tagged with Tyson Kidd as The Hart Dynasty. The team saw some success, holding the tag titles for several months before Smith’s release in 2011.
Since his departure from WWE, the son of The British Bulldog has found success in numerous companies, with reigns as NWA, MLW and IWGP Team Champion.
According to recent reports, WWE originally planned for Smith to return on NXTUK, where he would challenge NXTUK Champion Walter, however due to the pandemic this didn’t happen.
