Reports surfaced earlier this week indicating Reigns was originally scheduled to defeat Goldberg at the end, which most likely means Goldberg’s current run with the company has come to an end.
Strowman previously held the WWE Intercontinental Championship. This is his first time holding the Universal Championship.
