According to KLTV, Madsen was released from custody yesterday after posting a bond of $1500.
Madsen, who is due in court Friday, is charged with two counts of assault and criminal trespassing. If convicted, he will face one year of jail time for each count.
According to the New York Post, Madsen told police “I just felt like it was the right moment” when asked why he went after WWE legend Bret Hart.
“An over-exuberant fan surpassed our security at ringside and made his way briefly into the ring,” WWE later said in a statement to the New York Post. “The individual has been turned over to the proper authorities.”
