WWE Employees Upset Following Company Meeting

WWE held a major company meeting earlier today with a number of their employees, including members of the production team and several other departments.

According to Fightful Select, a large number of those employees left that meeting quite upset, as WWE informed the staff that they would not be provided with any new promotions, raises, or bonuses for the coming future. Reports are this heavily affected the team’s morale, as the company is still increasing revenue, despite the pandemic.

Revenue’s will continue to grow, WWE announced their partnership with the Peacock service, which will be the new home of the WWE Network beginning with the upcoming Fastlane pay per view.

It should be noted that this was primarily staff and production team employees, and had nothing to do with any on-screen talent or in-ring performers.

In April of 2020 WWE did cut/furlough hundreds of employees, including granting releases to a number of wrestlers including Miro, Matt Cardona, The Good Brothers, Curt Hawkins, Kassius Ohno, Aiden English, Kurt Angle, EC3, Eric Young, Lio Rush, Sarah Logan, Heath Slater, Erick Rowan, Primo and Epico Colon, Mike and Maria Kanellis, refere Mike Chioda, Curtis Axel, No Way Jose, and many more.
