The ‘Final Boss’ will be moving to the UK later next month.
Late last year, WWE announced the signing of Japanese wrestling legend Meiko Satomura, joining NXT UK as an active wrestler and trainer for the brand.
Satomura quickly ascended the ranks of NXT UK, challenging their women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray shortly after her debut on the brand.
After being victorious in a gauntlet match on an episode of NXT UK several weeks back, Satomura earned the right to challenge Kay Lee Ray once again in the not too distant future.
Since making her debut earlier this year, Satomura has spent time in both the UK and Japan, as she continues to run her ‘Sendai Girls Pro Wrestling’ promotion.
During an interview with Tokyo Sports, Satomura revealed that she would be spending much more time in the UK in June, ahead of her title match against Kay Lee Ray.
“I will be based in the UK after the big match in Niigata on June 27. If I do not move, I will not be recognized by British fans. I think it’s a belt that you can’t get without that much preparedness.”
