Multiple Returns Scheduled For RAW
The WWE taped their New Year’s Eve edition of RAW tonight in Detroit, MI. It was revealed several returns are scheduled to take place on the January 7th episode from The Amway Center in Orlando, FL.
Braun Strowman, Brock Lesnar, and John Cena are scheduled to make their RAW returns on January 7th.
Braun Strowman was not at the RAW taping tonight in Detroit. He is currently rehabbing for his in-ring return at Royal Rumble.
Brock Lesnar’s last appearance on RAW was. Lesnar is also scheduled to appear at the Royal Rumble go-home edition of RAW on January 21st from the OKC Center in Oklahoma City. Lesnar’s last RAW appearance was 11/12 at the Survivor Series go-home episode.
John Cena spent most of 2018 absent from TV, and his last match was at WWE’s Australian pay-per-view Super Show-Down in October. Cena was advertised on WWE’s Twitter as appearing on the New Year’s Eve edition of RAW, but instead appeared on Smackdown’s live event replacing an AJ Styles who is dealing with influenza. Cena has been announced for the January 7th edition of RAW in Orlando.
Also announced for the January 7th edition of RAW is Bobby Roode and Chad Gable vs. The Revival.
New Role For Alexa Bliss?
Since the McMahon family introduced their “Fresh Start”, the roles of many supporting talent has been abolished. Alexa Bliss, who is currently training for an eventual comeback to the ring has been placed in a role as GM of the RAW Women’s division. That role is now over, and her next move may have been announced for January 7th.
At tonight’s TV tapings in Detroit, it was announced that Alexa Bliss will host her own talk show titled “A Moment Of Bliss” on the January 7th edition of RAW. Her first guest will be RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.
It’s not clear whether this is a permanent role for Bliss as she works towards her goal of returning to in-ring action after suffering multiple concussions and severe vertigo.
